Yesterday morning, the kids and I were upstairs just playing around, having fun. It was very pleasant. The two of them have moments when they play so well together and it brings such joy to our hearts. Then there are times that they are content to just be alone. I decided to just watch them, playing separately and it was so neat. As I sat in Adie's room, she set up her little princesses and had a tea-party with them. She looked up at me and said, "Mommy I cooking for the princesses!" She spent the time to cook them a few things then had fun eating with them! A few minutes later, Jo came in and they had fun playing together. He had some of the food that she made and then they played in her house.
I know it's not much of a story, but I just wanted to share a moment of our days that just warms my heart. Right now, Jo is upstairs playing his music - having alone time. Adie and I are cuddled up together on the couch enjoying mommy/daughter time. It is hard to believe that this summer is almost over, already. In just over a month, we will be sending our first baby off to kindergarten. It will be nice, but I sure am going to miss my baby. It will be so wierd not having him around! But not long after that, we will be welcoming our new bundle of joy home. In fact, right now, I feel the baby moving slightly. What a feeling, a life growing inside. Amazing.
Jeff is doing alright. After tomorrow, work will slow down slightly. This is a time that has been much anticipated the entire time that he has been with the company. And this morning, he told me that he's got jitters trying not to concentrate on the fact that today might be the most important day in his career! I know he is going to shine. I told him to just be himself, not to think about that part too much; and that he's already been told he's a star, so I'm sure this weekend he's going to give them fireworks! Next Wednesday will be a welcome day off (4th of July!) after so much hard work. Jeff - I am so proud of you!
Well, it's time to hug my babies! Have a wonderful weekend and if I don't make it back to write anything soon, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Garage Sales!
We usually don't take the time to go out searching garage sales, most of the time, I find myself thinking, we don't need anymore toys and we have several things that could use a day at the garage sale too! So, I usually leave them alone. However, this past Saturday, we were out test-driving a mini-van (that story to come in just a minute) and we passed a couple of garage sales. I've been wanting to get a little table for the kids to have to write, color, and do puzzles or other things on. So, after seeing how expensive they are in the stores ($50+ for something so small!), I decided to just keep an eye on any garage or yard sales I pass. This one had it. Nothing fancy, but a small table that caught my eye in a split second. So after we were done, we headed back over there to check it out. We came across quite a find! This little table was very sturdy, needs a good scrubbing, but nice and works great for them. She also had two little chairs that were perfect and at the perfect price! $6 for the set! Another thing that I just couldn't pass up, that didn't catch my eye before, but did while we were there - an antique high chair! I've wanted us to have a wooden high chair since before Jonathan was born but would not pay over $100 for it, and I've never seen one at a garage sale. Saturday we did and it was only $15. Jeff knew that had been a desire for so long and said that since I hadn't given in to the stores, we could go for it! Thank you, dear! Next door to this one was another sale. We didn't want to keep shopping, but a baby bathtub caught my eye. We don't have one, and obviously we will need one very soon, it was only $2 so Jeff couldn't pass that one! So, in one day and for less than $25 we stocked up on some great things for the kids! Woo-hoo!
Now for the mini-van. We hadn't planned on moving up to a minivan, we figured out that our car would do just fine for the three kids. Well, to make a long story short, we have had this car for about 3.5 years. Just a few months after getting it, the starter burned out and had to be replaced. The next year, an unexplained problem popped up and the mechanics never could duplicate the problem. Thankfully, a friend of ours had a good handle on vehicles and so he gave us some pointers. Jeff replaced the fuel filter. The problem came back a few months later and was unexplainable, unduplicatable again and since Jeff enjoys researching, he figured out that the car might have needed a fuel injector flush or something (I don't remember) and so they did it, problem solved (maybe). On our recent trip to Albuquerque, I was somewhere between Western Kansas and Col. Springs. The car really started showing problems. This road we were on (I'm never doing this again), extremely desolate. No services, or civilization, for 70 miles. Not only that, the cell phone had NO service! Well, this problem has shown to be very tempermental and the next morning, the car was just fine. So, after putting some injector cleaner in, the car was fine the rest of the way to Albuquerque. I thought we were in the clear. Not so, a week later, problem shows up again so we took it in to the mechanic and, you guessed it - they could not duplicate it! I was very frustrated. This problem really scares me traveling with the kids and for such long distances. Jeff and I had had enough. Jeff told me that this summer we would work and save and when things look right, we would trade in and get, a minivan! We figured that since we are thinking about having four children (no more than that), we might as well have the space for it now! Besides, it will be nice to give the kids the space now. They have thoroughly enjoyed our days checking out these fun vehicles! So, that is why we were test-driving a mini-van Saturday. We will see what happens! Oh, and just to reassure those of you worry worts out there ;), after much praying, the trip home was very smooth and uneventful. But the problem has popped in and out since we got home. Good bye car! :)

Updates
Wow, it's been a long time since I've been online, updating blogs. Jeff commented the other day that I haven't been blogging that much, and that it would be good to let all of you out there know what's going on!
Well, the bun is still in the oven! We are about 18 weeks now. We've had three apts. now and they have all been normal. The first one was awesome, we had an ultrasound and it was so great to see that heart beat. We've been hearing it now and it has been running about 158-162 bpm. Isn't that amazing! This is really exciting for all of us.
Adelaide is a bit more aware of a baby inside mommy now, she seems excited about it. Jonathan has been such a sweetie. The morning sickness started at about 6 weeks and I'm still feeling some things, but for a while, it was very tough. We are doing much better now and a couple weeks ago, I was finally able to make it through a trip to wal-mart without getting nautious! That was nice, now our shopping trips can be more complete! Jonathan has been a big helper for me and has done several things because he wants to help me feel better. He really wants to make sure this baby is healthy. He's really been a big kid! We are so proud of him!
We are scheduled for an ultrasound in three weeks and we will find out if this baby is a boy or a girl! Jonathan cannot wait to find out. He is still wishing for a brother. Several weeks ago, during a conversation we were having about the baby, Jonathan just came out and told me, "Mom, it just won't make sense if it's a girl!" What a silly boy! I think it had something to do with the room arrangement we will have. He seems to accept the fact that this just might be a girl. It is just that if we have a girl, he will have to switch rooms with Adie. He's told us that he wants his cars room. So, we've assured him that if he switches rooms, he will have all his cars and boy things go with him. Funny boy! We love his mind!
Our summer has been fun so far. After our trip to Albuquerque, we've had a great time as a family. Jeff's been very busy with a dead-line coming up at work. When he's been able to be with us we've made trips to the zoo, several parks, and had some cook-outs on the grill.
Okay, it's time to sign off! More to come later.
Love to you all.

Thursday, April 5
Already 5 days in!
Well, looking at the calendar today, I saw the 5 for April. Cannot believe it. There is nothing significant about April 5. But, that it means March is gone, and April will be too, before we know it. It also means we are 11 days away from our first prenatal appointment! Jonathan is so excited about this baby. He says he really wants to have a brother so the baby can sleep in his room. Ha! Wow, I would have never thought he would want the baby to sleep in his room! When Adelaide cries, he says, "Mommy, I don't like crying!" He is going to be such a great big brother! He is such a sweetie to me too. He likes to jump to my door in the car before I get it open and he says he wants to help me out because I'm pregnant. How cute is that!
Last Saturday, we went to the Kansas City Speedway for an early Easter Egg Hunt! That was quite a day. The place was packed full of people. We had only heard about it that morning from our neighbors, so by the time we went, the lines were already building for the hunt and we didn't have time to do any of the rides. But that was okay. They had sectioned out a grassy part of the inner field in the middle of the track. The sections were for different ages. It went from baby to 5th grade. So, Adie and Jonathan were in two different places, but it was nice that the little kids didn't get trampled by the bigger kids! Both kids got a lot of eggs and had so much fun! It was cold and windy so we ended up leaving pretty quickly after the hunt was over.
Going to the speedway was awesome! Jonathan has a huge interest in Nascar (after getting into the movie Cars last year) and it was awesome for him to be able to walk on the same track that all those cars drive on! He was sure excited! It was a great experience for us to go there. We would love to take him to a real race someday, and it would be nice to do that while we live here, but have you seen the prices of those tickets? Check out nascar.com and look at April 28th, to see. Unbelievable!
We don't have any real plans set for this weekend, but I'm sure it will be a nice day. I'll be adding an album at our immage station account for the speedway day so hop on over there to check those out! (The link is over on the right, up a little bit)
You all have a terrific wekend!
We'll be back in touch.

March is Marching away!
I cannot believe that March is nearly over! February was full of fun and exciting things for us. We are enjoying Kansas so much! This month, Jeff and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary! Yay! We both cannot believe that it has been 7 already! Time is really flying by! We are fairly settled in and nearly done unpacking. Jeff's job is moving along pretty good. They are very busy, but it is good. Two weeks ago, Jeff finally got word that his clearance went through! That is such a blessing! Last week also brought more exciting news for our family! After 6 months of praying and us trying, God has decided to bless our family with another baby! We are all so excited! Jonathan is hoping for a brother and Adelaide is wanting a sister! Either way, it is going to be so fun! As far as we know, November will be the month the baby comes. We should have an appointment with a dr. soon. We will surely be keeping you updated here!
Well, it is time to go out and play with the kids!
God be with you all. We love you and can't wait to see everyone!
Blessings!

Jeffrey's Day
Happy Birthday, Jeffrey!
We are so proud of you!
We love you so much!
Our plans for the next couple of days (tomorrow is Jonathan's) are very simple! Tonight, Jeff has requested fajitas for dinner. We are very excited to have it all.
Jonathan has requested spaghetti for tomorrow night. We will have cupcakes with Cars decorations. Jonathan has also requested cookies. Today will be a fun day of making cookies and cupcakes and getting ready for all the fun. A few weeks ago, Jonathan requested to just have a small celebration. Hopefully toward the end of the week we will eat out with some friends at a very cool restaurant. It's called the TRex Cafe. They have a place where you can build a dinosaur. Jonathan did ask if we could do that this week too. So, those are the plans!
What a wonderful week!

News and Such...
Hello everyone! Good day to all! Happy January 15th! We are in the midst of quite a storm. Well, it really isn't all that bad. Starting Friday, we have had freezing rain, sleet and a tiny bit of snow all weekend. We were hoping for it to change to full snow on Sunday but that didn't happen. However, this morning Jeff woke me up and said, "Look out the window! We have snow!" So, I looked and it was snowing! The kids are very excited and we are all getting ready to head out and play in the snow! This will be the first time in two years! Yipee!
Now, for the news! Our house down in Killeen is under contract! Last week we had quite an excitement in that arena! Tuesday night, our realator called and told us that we had an offer on the house. It wasn't as good as we were hoping, but it was something. This offer was 3,000 less than our asking price and (something customary in Killeen) they want us to pay their part of the closing costs. We had two emotions: excited for the offer and yet disappointed that it wasn't better. So we continued our prayer for God to provide what we need to sell the house. After only having the place for just a year, we knew we'd be out of pocket, but we didn't want to be out that much! The next day, Jeff got to work trying to get things in order and figure out what we could do. And that evening in Bible class, (there is a ladies class on Wednesdays that I've been going to) I requested prayers for God to guide us to make the right decisions. Thursday came around and we were just about ready to call our agent and give her an answer of what we had decided. I was out with the kids and she called me! She asked if we got her email (I haven't been on the computer as much so we hadn't). She told me that she had some interesting news. We had received another offer on the house! This one was a little better and so we had something to consider! We decided to go ahead and counter both offers to see what would happen. Well, we didn't have to do that. Our agent called the first agent and told him that we had another offer come to the table. Okay, to finish up this story - God has blessed us so richly! The first couple came back with a second offer. They bumped thier original up to 1,000 more than our asking price, but still needed us to take care of closing costs. This would definitely help us out! They want the house so band and are ready to close by the end of the month! We are so excited about this. Now, we just have to wait to see if the appraisal comes in just right, and if it does we are set! Just to explain about the closing cost deal (I know that may be very strange to most of you), most people moving into Killeen are young and in the military. They don't have a lot of money saved up but have the means to afford a house payment. That is actually the very situation we had moving into Killeen but we didn't know about the customs there. That is why we were separated for two months, to save money for closing. So our arrangement is just fine. From what we heard about this family, they sound a lot like us. We are excited to see them fill the spot we left in the neighborhood.

Wow, A New Year and . . .
Okay, so it's been a while since we posted anything. Sorry about the picture thing from Christmas, I'll try to work on that sometime, maybe. I might just make an album of that. Oh well, Christmas is over! It is time to concentrate on the new year!
We are getting settled in very nicely! It has been great. We are all loving Kansas (as long as we are together, it is home and we love it). We have actually now opened more boxes in the month that we've been here than we did in the year we were in Killeen! Imagine that! This week has been a time of trying to get back into routines, now that the holidays are over. We unpacked all of the pictures and have most of them on the walls. This is great for a few reasons: 1) we haven't seen any of them in over a year! 2) now it really feels like home and it makes the place so cozy! 3) it is so nice to look around our house and see the faces of those we love everyday.
We are getting involved in a congregation here in town and it is starting to feel like a famliy. The kids are slowly finding friends and getting more comfortable. Jeff is continuing to excell in his job and I am constantly learning new things with the kids. Keep us in your prayers. This has been a struggle for us all, but we are making it. Soon, we will have our house sold, everything unpacked and we can begin to LIVE in Kansas!
We've got exciting things coming up so come back sometime to keep up with the story!
